At Wimsatt Building Materials, we have a spot on our team for an energetic salesperson in our organization. Candidates must have a passion for great customer service. They must also possess solid time management skills to serve a large, diverse customer base.
Candidates must be knowledgeable in the areas of roofing, siding and windows (we offer a diverse selection of exterior building materials and do not expect candidates to be masters of each category). Experience completing blueprint takeoffs is a definite plus. Your industry experience could come from employment with another supplier or home center, builder or remodeling company. Solid computer skills are also key, as we rely on multiple systems to help us quote material and complete orders.

Wimsatt Building Materials is now accepting applications and scheduling interviews to bring on CDL A and B Truck Drivers.
Wimsatt is a large, well-known building materials distributor with eight locations throughout Michigan and Northern Ohio.
We sell and deliver exterior building materials including roofing, siding, windows and lumber. Our roof-top deliveries are in high demand, since we don't require the customer to be on site. Our deliveries are physically demanding and are not for everyone (you will be lifting 80 pound shingle bundles, approximately 500+ per day). You'll also need to be comfortable climbing ladders and walking on roofs. We have an excellent safety training program and require the use of safety harnesses in all of our roof-top deliveries. We actively cross-train our Drivers on a variety of equipment: conveyors, cranes, Skytrak and tail-mounted forklifts.
CDL A or B with Air Brakes
Hazardous Materials endorsement (required after a job offer is extended)
Good Driving Record
Great Customer Service skills
Previous experience climbing ladders / working around heights
Familiarity with exterior building materials is a plus!

Hard-working Delivery Helpers are in demand to help Wimsatt Building Materials grow this year. We actively train and develop our Roof Loading Specialists into Truck Drivers in 3 - 4 months.
You must have a good driving record to qualify with us. If a job offer is made, we will require you to obtain a CDL Temporary Instruction Permit (available through testing at the Secretary of State).
You will be delivering exterior building materials including roofing, siding, windows and lumber. Our roof-top deliveries are in high demand, since we don't require the customer to be on site. Our deliveries are physically demanding and are not for everyone. We require Delivery Helpers to be capable of lifting up to 100 pounds repetitively. You'll also need to be comfortable climbing ladders and walking on roofs. We have an excellent safety training program and require the use of safety harnesses in all of our roof-top deliveries.
