Wimsatt Building Materials has an exciting career opportunity opening up. You could become one of two Inventory Analysts whose responsibilities impact the entire company. The Inventory Analyst manages the administration of 4,000 stock items and an additional 6,000+ special order sku's.
The presentation of products in our database as well as the accuracy of information is critical to helping our teammates in sales provide the best service to our customers. This position is responsible for setting up new items, item file maintenance, and pricing administration. The Inventory Analyst also plays a critical part in monthly cycle counts - identifying variances, investigating discrepancies, and performing inventory adjustments.

Simply stated, this position coordinates inventory, equipment, and personnel into on time deliveries for our customers. Is it stressful or exhilarating? That depends on your outlook. You'll have all the resources at your fingertips to keep customers happy and coming back for more. Over 90% of our sales are delivered with our wheels underneath them. That means you're the glue between the sales, warehouse, and delivery departments. We utilize logistics software to build routes and then track them as they're in progress. That's a big part of the day - assembling loads to be picked in the warehouse and then monitoring and assisting the drivers as they're in the field making deliveries. This position is also responsible for OSHA and DOT regulatory compliance.

Our busy season is just around the corner and we're ready to delivery some material! Wimsatt is a large, well-known building materials distributor with six locations throughout Michigan.
We sell and deliver exterior building materials including roofing, siding, windows and lumber. Our roof-top deliveries are in high demand, since we don't require the customer to be on site. Our deliveries are physically demanding and are not for everyone. You'll also need to be comfortable climbing ladders and walking on roofs. We have an excellent safety training program and require the use of safety harnesses in all of our roof-top deliveries. We actively cross-train our Drivers on a variety of equipment: conveyors, cranes, Skytrak and tail-mounted forklifts.
Qualifications:
CDL A or B with Air Brakes
Hazardous Materials endorsement (or must be willing to obtain)
Good Driving Record
Great Customer Service skills
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds repetitively
Previous experience climbing ladders / working around heights
Familiarity with exterior building materials is a plus!

Our Diesel Mechanics are responsible for: Diagnosing mechanical problems; Completing preventive maintenance schedules, including semi-annual bumper to bumper inspections; Repairs and routine maintenance of engines, chassis, drivleine, hydraulic systems, brake systems, electrical systems, suspension, wheels, and tires; Emergency road calls to perform repairs ; Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure they are working properly.
